Dr. Schmid’s journey in aesthetic surgery is marked by a relentless pursuit of surgical excellence and a dedication to honing his understanding of anatomy and aesthetic harmongy. Graduating with Phi Sigma honors from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO in 1986, Dr. Schmid underwent extensive training, followed by a residency in otolaryngology at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a two-year fellowship at the Midwest Institute of Cosmetic Surgery and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana where he focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Schmid’s passion for sharing knowledge has driven him to train residents and physicians internationally, reflecting his deep respect for his mentors. As an accomplished sculptor, Dr. Schmid founded Sculpting for Surgeons™, the first educational program of its kind tailored for medical professionals. With more than 25 years of experience, he has transformed the lives of countless patients, enhancing their self-esteem and confidence through compassionate, personalized care. His commitment to surgical artistry continues to inspire excellence within the field.
